Trainer’s Profile

Ivy Wan, Business Leader, Certified Trainer & ICF Coach

Ivy brings together more than a decade of experience in technology, product, business and leadership across fast-growing regional companies. Having held senior leadership and General Management roles, she has worked across the full journey of building and scaling businesses, from understanding customer needs and developing products to driving adoption, revenue and growth.

Her experience spans Mudah.my, Carousell, JobStreet, SEEK Asia and iMoney, giving her a practical understanding of leading in environments where priorities shift quickly, resources are limited, and leaders must deliver results while bringing people along.

Ivy’s strength lies in connecting business thinking with human behaviour. She understands that leadership is not simply about having the right answers, but about creating the clarity, awareness and conditions for people to make better decisions and take meaningful action.

As an ICF-certified coach, Ivy brings a coaching mindset into her facilitation. Rather than relying solely on frameworks and theory, she creates space for participants to examine assumptions, recognise their own patterns and translate learning into practical changes at work.

Her approach is grounded in a simple belief: meaningful leadership development begins with greater self-awareness.

Leadership becomes most visible when circumstances become difficult. Ivy helps leaders recognise what is happening beneath the surface, manage their responses and create greater choice between a situation and the action they take.

Her training brings together three dimensions of leadership: leading self, leading others and leading the business.

Participants explore their internal state and behavioural patterns; how their leadership influences trust, communication, motivation and performance; and how their decisions connect with organisational priorities, customer needs and sustainable growth.

Ivy’s programmes are practical and grounded in workplace realities. She uses workplace scenarios, reflection, coaching conversations and action-oriented exercises to help participants move beyond understanding concepts to applying them where they matter.

Ultimately, her work helps people become more aware, more intentional and more capable of turning insight into action —so that personal growth translates into better leadership and stronger business outcomes.

Trainer’s Profile

Alex Goh, Brand Strategist, Certified Trainer and Coach

Alex has spent over 20 years in brand and communications strategy, from every side of the table: creative agencies (DDB, NagaDDBTribal, M&C Saatchi), media agencies (GroupM / Mindshare), client-side marketing (Digi Telecommunications), and the platform side, as Head of Strategy and Product at Astro Media Solutions.

Most strategists go deep on one of these; what Alex brings is the combination -what a creative team needs, what media can realistically deliver, and what the business is actually paying for, held in a single view.

His work spans automotive, telco, financial services, energy, FMCG and retail (Volkswagen, unifi, CelcomDigi, Hong Leong Bank, Prudential, Gentari, Carlsberg, 7-ELEVEN and Tealive). That range matters. These are the same kinds of problems he now trains teams to solve.

As a certified Performance Coach, Alex trains people on a simple idea: strategic thinking is a muscle everyone already has. His work replaces instinct with structure, so the effort people already put in turns into real, repeatable gains.

The approach is not theoretical. Previously, as Chief Strategy Officer of NagaDDBTribal, a three-time Kancil Agency of the Year, he built a team of non-strategists, established the method, and held the quality bar across the agency's work, creating evidence that strategic thinking is a competency that can be built.

Strategic rigour usually asks for time and experience. Alex trains teams to produce it without waiting for either.

His method is Brand-first. Decisions are made against what the Brand stands for and who it is for, before any question of channel, format or content.

Increasingly, his approach integrates AI-accelerated workflows that carry the routine load, so a team can produce rigorous strategy quickly and consistently, brief after brief. He brought Malaysia's first generative AI certification for advertising into a creative agency, through a partnership with OK Tomorrow.

His training covers brand strategy, communications strategy, social strategy and marketing effectiveness. He now runs an independent strategy practice, building this capability inside agencies and in-house marketing teams.

The industry often calls on him to judge, advise and speak. He has spoken and sat on panels at industry events run by the 4As, including the Putra Brand Colloquium and the Kancils Festival.

He has guest lectured at UTAR and TAR-UMT. Alex is Industry Advisor to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), serves as an industry reviewer at Monash University, judges the Effie Awards Malaysia, and mentors at the global 30 Minute University of Planning.

Trainer’s Profile

Janet Lee, Founder & CEO of 95%, Experiential Trainer & Coach

Janet brings together more than four decades of experience in advertising, people development and corporate culture.

She spent the first 20 years of her career in advertising, winning numerous local and international creative awards. It was an industry that taught her to understand audiences, uncover human insights and communicate ideas in ways that move people.

In 2004, Janet co-founded Ninety Five Percent (95%) as an experiential training academy for the advertising industry. From fresh graduates to senior management, 95%'s programmes were designed to help advertising professionals sharpen their thinking, develop themselves and accelerate their careers. Many of those early participants have since gone on to become senior leaders in the industry.

As 95%'s work expanded beyond advertising, Janet began applying the same understanding of people and behaviour to leadership, employee engagement and corporate culture.

Today, as 95%'s Lead Culture Consultant, she works with CEOs, leadership teams and organisations across diverse industries to shift mindsets, strengthen leadership and build cultures where people can do their best work.

Her experience as a trainer, consultant and coach has shaped a distinctive approach to learning.

Janet believes people learn more powerfully when they discover something for themselves. Rather than relying heavily on lectures and theories, she designs exercises, conversations and experiences that help participants uncover blind spots, question assumptions and arrive at their own realisations.

Participants describe her workshops as thought-provoking, practical and relevant to real-life situations.

Janet is an HRDC Accredited Trainer, ICF-certified Master Performance Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, NASAGA Learning Game Design Practitioner, and one of the early Malaysians certified by the UK-based Barrett Values Centre in its Cultural Transformation Tools.

Janet led 95% to be recognized at the HR Magazine Vendor Of The Year Awards
